How to Connect Your Zerodha Account to NxWorth

Step-by-step guide to generate your Zerodha Kite Connect API Key and Secret and link your broker account to NxWorth for automatic portfolio sync.

This guide walks you through generating a Kite Connect API Key & Secret from Zerodha's developer console and then linking it inside your NxWorth settings — so your stocks, mutual funds, ETFs and gold holdings sync automatically.

Before you begin

  • A verified Zerodha trading account
  • An NxWorth account (already logged in)

Create a Kite Connect App

Go to the Kite Connect developer portal and sign in with your Zerodha credentials.

No paid subscription needed — the Personal app type is completely free.

Create a New App

  1. Once logged in, click Create new app in the top right corner.
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    • App name: e.g. NxWorth Sync
    • App type: Select Personal (Free)
    • Redirect URL: Enter https://api.nxworth.com/api/auth/zerodha/callback
  3. Click Create. Your new app will now appear in your app list.

Copy Your API Key and API Secret

  1. Click on your newly created app to open its details page.
  2. You will see your API Key displayed at the top. Copy it.
  3. Click Show Secret (or the eye icon) to reveal your API Secret. Copy that too.
Keep these keys private. Anyone with your API Key + Secret can read your portfolio data. Never share them publicly.

Add the Broker in NxWorth Settings

  1. Open NxWorth and go to Settings → Broker Integrations.
  2. Click + Add Broker.
  3. In the popup, paste your API Key and API Secret into the respective fields.
  4. Click Add Broker to save.

Connect & Authorize

  1. After saving, your new broker will appear in the list with a Connect button.
  2. Click Connect. You will be redirected to the Zerodha login page.
  3. Log in with your Zerodha credentials and complete the 2FA (TOTP / PIN).
  4. Zerodha will redirect you back to NxWorth and your holdings will begin syncing automatically.
The authorization token expires every day at midnight. Simply click Connect again the next day to re-authorize.

You're all set!

Your Zerodha portfolio — stocks, mutual funds, ETFs, gold ETFs — will now appear automatically in your NxWorth dashboard. Head to Dashboard or Stocks to see your live holdings.
